The Albany News Junior Journalists: Buried Treasure

This story was submitted by a student in response to last week’s Kids Corner Junior Journalist prompt, which challenged young writers to imagine a news article for the Albany News.

Last week Coach Faith found a secret treasure map from World War 2, while in the library looking for a football magazine.  The map claims there is a secret ice cream shop underground in Albany. Faith would not disclose the location to even his closest friends.

People all over town started to believe that there was a secret ice shop and began digging all over town. Tiffany and Bryce Dye started digging at the park. They said they would not stop until they found a secret ice cream shop. Belinda and Joe Tidwell also claimed that they will find the secret ice cream shop.

According to Faith, the map showed the mystery location behind Goodnights Saloon. Coach said he found the secret ice cream shop and will have his own party with his family this weekend.
