Albany, Moran sales tax reported

The city of Albany will receive a sales tax allotment of $34,806 from the state this October. The amount is down 38.64 percent from the $56,730 payment received in October of 2018.

Payments to date for the 2019 year to the city of Albany are $448,517, up by 0.68 percent from the comparable time last year, when payments of $445,471 had been made.

The city of Moran will receive a net payment of $1,499 this period for a 6.20 percent increase from the $1,411 received in October 2018.

Payments to date for 2019 to the city of Moran are $14,343, down by 18.66 percent from the comparable time in 2018, when payments of $17,634 had been made.

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced that he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $773.1 million in local sales tax allocations for October, 5.1 percent more than in October 2018.
