Academic excellence will be recognized at the Albany High School Academic Banquet sponsored by Albany ISD, the Feed Store, and the AJSH Academic Booster Club on Monday, April 29, at 7:00 p.m., with a theme of “Oh, the Places You’ll Go.”

The annual banquet is held in the main gym in honor of students who displayed outstanding scholarly achievement during the school year.

The menu will be fajitas, rice, beans, chips, hot salsa, and chocolate cake, according to Feed Store director Tisha Wilkins.

One act play cast and crew members, UIL academic winners, honor graduates, students with the highest college entrance test scores, journalism and ag leadership award winners, and secondary students who maintained an average grade of 90 or above in core classes for the entire school year will be recognized.

Tickets are required for the banquet, and will be available at the Albany High School office.

Each honoree will be granted a free ticket. Guest tickets are $5 each and are available at the high school office.

For information, call the school office at 762-3974.
