Lori Reames is hoping to pair gently used back-to-school items with those who need them before the start of the fall semester.

“Closet Angels will be open on July 14 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.,” said Reames. “For all working moms looking for back-to-school clothes, we will also be open on Monday, July 16, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.”

There are four new fundraiser racks and a huge selection of new arrivals for shoppers to look through, according to Reames.

Items on the fundraiser racks are typically priced from $3 to $5 each, and include American Eagle, Hollister, Nike, Underarmour, and other well-known brands, she added.

“We are especially wanting back-to-school shoppers to come over and see what we have,” said Reames. “To bring more Shackelford County families in to shop at Closet Angels, we will have a drawing for a $100 Brookshire’s gift card in July and again in August”

Every family with a student enrolled in either Moran or Albany schools who shops on Saturday, July 14 and Monday, July 16, will have their name put into the drawing. Another drawing will be held for those shopping on Aug. 11 and 13.

“To meet the needs of local students, we are looking for gently used athletic shoes, athletic shorts, jeans, and backpacks,” Reames said. “We also accept socks, underwear, extra toiletries, hair styling tools, and anything that kids would need for back to school. We really want more people to come and shop with us; not just those with lower incomes, but anyone who would like to save some money!”

Closet Angels is located at 132 South Jacobs Street in Albany, and is also open on Wednesdays from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m.
