The Albany Chamber of Commerce’s annual membership meeting will be held at the Beehive Restaurant on Friday, Feb. 7, immediately after the 12:00 noon luncheon.

The agenda for the meeting, traditionally held on the first Friday in February, includes going over the finance report and electing directors and officers.

Each year, several of the board members’ terms come up for election on a rotating basis, and the new directors are chosen at the annual membership meeting.

The current Chamber president forms a nominating committee to fill any empty spots on the board, and then the committee’s recommendations are submitted and voted on by all of the Chamber members in attendance at the Feb. 7 meeting, according to Chamber manager Mary Beth Jones.

All members of the organization are invited and encouraged to attend the luncheon.

“Anyone interested in serving on the board should contact Ramby Anderson,” added Jones.

Current directors and newly elected board members will choose officers at a directors meeting to be held later in the month.

Directors whose three-year terms are expiring this year include Anderson and Clayton Snyder. Randall Palmore is retiring from the board, said Jones.
