CC district to be run Oct. 13

The Albany High School and Junior High cross country athletes will compete at the District 10-2A meet Wednesday, Oct. 13 at the Anson Golf Course.

The Albany runners got a preview of the course Wednesday, Oct. 6 at the Anson Invitational. Results will be reported next week.

The district meet will start at 2:30 p.m. with the varsity boys, a three-mile race. The varsity girls will run two miles starting at 3:00 p.m.

The top three teams and top 10 individuals in the varsity divisions qualify for the Region II-2A meet, scheduled for Oct. 25 at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie.

In addition to the varsity races, competition will be held for local junior varsity girls and junior high girls and boys.

The JV girls will run two miles starting at 3:30 p.m.

The junior high girls will have separate races for seventh and eighth grades. Both races will cover 1.5 miles. The seventh grade will run at 4:00 p.m. with the eighth grade starting at 4:25 p.m.

The junior high boys will run a two-mile race starting at 4:50 p.m.
