TheShackelfordCounty Home School Co-Op has launched its first annual pre-Thanksgiving pie fundraiser, “A Slice of Life fundraiser” with a goal of helping raise funds for the Shackelford County EMS.

Photo packages of flag football players and youth cheerleaders that were ordered last month are now available for pickup at TheAlbany News, open Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Albany Lady Lions saw their volleyball season end disappointingly early last week with a loss in the second round of the Class 2A playoffs. Albany finished the season 30-8 behind a senior-laden lineup.
