Albany, Moran sales tax rebates reported

The city of Albany will receive a sales tax allotment of $34,382 from the state this July. The amount is down 11.08 percent from the $39,028 payment received in July of 2018.

Payments to date for the 2019 year to the city of Albany are $333,971, up by 13.01 percent from the comparable time last year, when payments of $295,514 had been made.

The city of Moran will receive a net payment of $1,198 this period for a 72.08 percent decrease from the $4,293 received in July 2018.

Payments to date for 2019 to the city of Moran are $9,837, down by 25.93 percent from the comparable time in 2018, when payments of $13,281 had been made.

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced that he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $764.3 million in local sales tax allocations for July, 0.7 percent more than in July 2018. These allocations are based on sales made in May by businesses that report tax monthly.
