SHERRY GARVIN

Sherry Garvin, age 67 of Albany, went to be with our Savior on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Friendship Baptist Church, 600 Greer St, with Pastor Paul Johnston officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Sherry Ann Garvin was born Oct. 8, 1956 in Seminole, Texas to Clyde Garvin and Joy Hanna Garvin. Sherry started her own family in January of 1977. Her three daughters were the joy of her life. She was always their number one fan and believed in any dream they had.

In April of 2000, she was blessed with her first grandchild. The grandchildren quickly became her pride and joy. Sherry loved cheering her kids and grandkids on in all their school and sport activities.

She loved anything crafty and creative. She also enjoyed tending to plants and animals. Sherry began attending and serving at Friendship Baptist Church in 2018. She spent her Wednesday nights helping feed the youth of the church. Sunday mornings were spent in fellowship and worship.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Joy Garvin and one grandson, Andrew Rodriguez.

Sherry is survived by her three daughters, Wendy Moseley and husband Vernon of Abilene, Candie Atkinson and husband Carle of Granbury, Ashley Wallis and husband Steven of Tuscola; three brothers, Calvin Garvin and wife Debbie of Clyde, Damon Garvin and wife Becky of Abilene, Gary Garvin and wife Amy of Yoakum; seven grandchildren, Kylee, Brady, Brynlee, Turner, Nick, Emily, Matthew; one great grandson, Ranken; several nieces and nephews and her best friend, Jackie Reed.
