Judy Tischler, age 74 of Albany, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 3 at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Johnston officiating. Interment followed at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene.
Judy Carol Dudley was born Nov. 27, 1947 in Lubbock, Texas to Marvin Houston Dudley and Margaret Virginia Adams Dudley. She married Charlie Van Tischler in Lubbock on Aug. 7, 1965.
Judy enjoyed baking cakes, crafting, and going on camping trips with family. She ran an in-home daycare in Albany and also worked at First Love Day Care at First Baptist Church.
Judy was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Rose Park Senior Citizen’s Center and Bible study fellowship for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Marvin Kennith Dudley; two sisters, Barbara Rowden and Sherry Hernandez.
Judy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charlie Van Tischler of Albany; one daughter, Tammy Duncan and husband Dave of Abilene; two sons, Kyle Tischler and wife Shawnee of Crystal Falls, Kevin Tischler of Hughes Springs; ten grandchildren, Jaci Baccus and husband Austin, Kelsey Tischler and Antonio Castillo, Forest Tischler, Tyler Miller and wife Anna, Tori Martin and husband Jackson, Tara Duncan, Dusty Tischler, Bailey Young, Krysten Morris and Brendan Morris; one sister, Joe Ann Combs of Lubbock.
