— Warnings helped avoid wreck scene —

Dear Editor: I just wanted to give a shout-out to the folks around here that were driving towards Abilene this early this morning and flashed their lights at me as I was traveling towards Albany. They were giving me a warning about the bad wreck that was ahead of me in the fog.

Thankfully, I paid attention and slowed down because of their warning! I came upon the wreck in the heavy fog and was able to slow down and not run into the team that was working hard to clear the wreck. I am just so thankful for the warnings they gave me, and I wanted them to know it did make a difference. I hope whomever they were sees this message of thanks! I make that trek every day, as I live in Abilene and work in Albany, and I am very thankful for the good folks around this area! A heartfelt thanks to all of you!

And another shoutout to the Albany Fire Dept, Sheriff’s Office & DPS workers who were on the scene there...they were all working hard to take care of everyone! Thanks! Karen Massey
