Steve Sanders, 76 of Albany, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 29 at Albany Church of Christ with Russell Scott officiating.

Steve Otho Sanders was born Jun. 26, 1947 in Gorman, Texas to Blonnie Otho Sanders and Betty Mae McPherson Sanders. Steve Sanders was larger than life; his death had to be nothing less than spectacular. Steveleftthisworld in a befitting blaze of glory.

He was deeply loved by all that knew him. His charm and charisma combined with his goofy outgoing personality were impossible to resist. The twinkle in his eyes sparkled with mischievous delight that was contagious. His sense of humor and light heart were the corner stone of who he was. Steve lived a life full of adventure and shenanigans that left us all shaking our heads in wonder, delight and sometimes even exasperation. His larger-than-life personality wasinfectiousand embraced all around him.

Steve was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His presence will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Carole Sanders and Latricia Sanders;hisparents,Blonnie and Betty Sanders; one brother, Donald Sanders; one sister, Virginia Turner.

Steve is survived by his daughter, Brandy Anders-Boyle; five brothers, Ray Sanders,BillySandersand wife Edith, Paul Sanders and wife Penny, Tommy Sanders and wife Rhonda, John Sanders and wife Shanda; two grandchildren, Kristin Bennett and Tyler Anders; one great grandchild, Landon Bennett and three bonus great-grand babies.
