Scholarship recipients needed

Organization Planning to award scholarships at the 2024 Albany High School graduation exercises on Friday, May 24 are asked to report their scholarship amounts and recipients by Friday, May 10 at the latest.

Ann Riley at the AHS office is organizing the scholarship announcement and distribution, handing out the seniors’ application letters to committee representatives last week.

“Scholarship selections need to be in my office by May 10,” said Riley. “Please get the names of the students chosen for the awards back to the high school office by that date. If it would help, the organization’s representative can send the information to my email account.”

Although some local scholarships are awarded at other events, such as the academic and athletic banquets, most are announced during the AHS commencement.
