Moran FFA team places at contest

The Moran Future Farmers of America poultry team of Jaylynn Roberts, Johnnie Hise, Sage O’Keefe, and Hannah Rogers placed sixth in the Big Country District at the Tarleton Area IV CDE contest at Stephenville on Wednesday, April 17. 

The top five poultry teams from Area IV, which included the top two teams from the Big Country district, one from the Pecan Valley District, and two from the Oil Belt District qualified for the state poultry competition that will take place at Texas A&M University in College Station on Saturday, May 4.

Kindergarten and 

Pre-K Roundup

The annual pre-K and kindergarten enrollment is taking place at MISD today, April 25, from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Children enrolled in kindergarten must be five years old by Sept. 1, while those entered into pre-K need to be four years old on or before Sept. 1 and fully potty trained.

Parents should bring several items to the registration including the child’s birth certificate, Social Security card, and immunization record. The parent should also bring their driver’s license or another official photo ID. 

MISD provides free transportation, and free breakfast and lunch to all students each school day.
