Maberry hired as pool manager

With the arrival of summer time weather in a few weeks, Albany’s city pool will open on June 1.

Savannah Maberry has been hired as the new pool manager, and a corps of life guards is also in place.

Pool hours will be Tuesday through Saturday, 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Once again the pool will be closed on Mondays. Tuesday is family night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Ticket prices will be the same as last year, set at $2.50 daily or $100 for a season pass or $200 for a household.

Tuesday’s family night ticket will be $1.00 per person.

Private parties may be booked beginning today (May 9) by calling City Hall at 325-762-3133. Parties will cost $200 for a two-hour slot and may not be reserved on Mondays or after family night on Tuesday.
