Futures forum slated April 30

A forum to discuss the future of Texas communities, in particular Albany and Shackelford County, is set for Tuesday, April 30 at the Courthouse.

Allcommunitymembers are invited to attend.

Three subject areas will be addressed during the day, starting with a session on agriculture and natural resources at 9:00 a.m.

A session focusing on family and community health issues will start at 2:00 p.m., and the final session on youth development will begin at 5:00 p.m.

“We will ask ourselves during each session the question, ‘What will be the major issues in our county over the next five years?’,” Shackelford County Extension Agent Kelsey Bell said. “We will then discuss if these issues can be addressed by the AgriLife Extensionatthelocallevel.”
