Day of Prayer slated May 2

The National Day of Prayer is scheduled for Thursday, May 2 with the mission to mobilize prayer in America.

The Albany Ministerial Alliancehasorganizedlocal observances in the past, but has not yet announced plans for this year’s event.

This year’s theme is “Lift up the Word – Light up the world.” It is based on 2 Samuel 22:29-31: “For you are my lamp, O Lord, and my God lightens my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall.
