Obituaries republished with additional information inadvertently omitted by the mortuary or the family for the initial publication must be paid at the appropriate rate.

The Albany News shall reserve the right to publish news stories about the death of widely recognized civic or community figures, containing as much information as determined by the editor to be significant. Such news articles may be in addition to the deceased’s obituary announcement.
