Use of voting machines limited by time frame
The U.S. Supreme Court scrapped court-drawn Texas redistricting plans last Friday that were favored by minorities and Democrats, a decision that could further delay the state and local primaries already pushed back one month to April 3.
“It’s a mess,” said Shackelford County Clerk Cheri Hawkins, “and it’s a little overwhelming when you start looking at everything that’s affected.”
